I assume Vista does this nastiness then, last time I installed XP (a while back), it was just a dull as buggery slideshow (from what I remember). It does exactly the same thing on start up with the welcome messageswhile it installs and configures your machine. That video you saw is covering up all the ugly pre configuration setup that the mac needs to do the first time you switch on. but yes, the music is far too twee. You should suggest something like Deathboy's Smile you fuckers to replace it :) When was the last time you installed Windows?
